It's been in the planning stages for a few months, but we finally made it happen today.

Heliman from Vancouver Washington, and I from Oregon City Oregon, piled in my truck and drove to Pendleton Oregon, to meet Bear Paw Jack from Nampa Idaho.

Had lunch at the casino there, attempted to donate to the slot spirits, then hit the gun shop tour of Pendleton.

We had a great visit. I've traded so many times with Bear Paw Jack, and it's so nice to put a face to the folks on this forum. He was just as cordial in person as I've always known him to be on this forum.

Had a great day.

WAYNO.

A very nice day! Meeting fellow forum members is a recipe for a good time. I met BPJ up in Alaska several times, and others as my travels allowed. Some unfortunately have passed on (Texas Pete,Killeen,Tx). All have been "buds" right out of the chute so to speak. I love the idea of a gun store crawl. :)

Yes, it was great to finally meet Bear Paw Jack. We had a nice conversation about guns and stuff. We visited an incredibly small , but well stocked gun shop.

And, it was hot! Near 100 degrees. Good thing WAYNO's A/C was working. But, all and all a good day.

I've got to say, you couldn't meet two nicer guys than Wayno and Heliman. I've been looking forward to it for a long time. Yes it was hot, but Wayno warned me. Glad my AC worked. These are a couple of sharp guys. Very knowledgeable. Several things I brought up and one would say, yes we were just talking about that on the way here. Like we were on the same page already. Thanks guy, great lunch.

I did enjoy this meeting, but was sad that most the folks I meet are of the senior variety. I do know a few younger Ruger guys, but the majority are seniors from what I see. We need to do a better job of stimulating the younger generation. After all, in the future when we meet like this, someone needs to push the wheel chairs!

I recently met a fellow forum member as well. Kevin. He is a very great guy. First time I had an in person meet with a forum member. It went very well and I felt we both had a blast.
