Road Rage

MANY years ago, I had a VERY angry woman approach my car window, yelling at me for some reason (we were parked in a parking lot). I told her that if she didn't leave me alone, I was calling the police. She got in her Volvo and left. I never exited my car.
I think I coulda taken her... !!

I had one approach my truck shouting at me for daring to park in a parking lot Handicapped slot without having a placard. I lowered the window and listened for a few moments. Then pointed to the sign which read "Senior Citizen Parking". She read it and left in a huff. I was pleased at keeping my cool during all that.

I have a strong aversion to using force against women...but...sometimes they put themselves into a man's place....I carry a scar on the left side of my face from one such woman today. And yeah, when she put herself into that place, I reacted accordingly. My point to this is that either she's a lady or she ain't, and it's her choice, not mine.

Watch the video again. That ain't the lady my Dad taught me not to hit.

The second he turned around and took his first step he was walking away. To not get out of the car and leaving would be driving away.
Which is AFTER he got out. "Walking away" would have been to have the trailing car go around or turn around. Exiting the vehicle was a real issue and unnecessary. Getting out of the car was in no way an act of self defense. It was an act of aggression. The thing got what was coming but it didn't need to happen that way.

Perfect explanation of a balanced perspective.

Based on her actions at the beginning of the video, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is not an isolated incident, she's probably been getting away with this crap for years, beating on men and then playing the girl card. Shouldn't be able to have it both ways. Hopefully she will think twice next time. I don't condone hitting women, but it's easy to see who of us has had personal experience with nut bag women and who haven't.

In the years that I have been routinely carrying a firearm, the only times that I have been close to drawing my weapon has been when faced with escalating road rage. Fortunately in those few cases the crazy driver has yelled and gestured and then returned to their own car and left without any damage or violence taking place while I stayed in my car but was prepared to draw and defend myself if necessary. I will say that neither of those incidents involved a woman.

I have actual handicapped license plates on one of my cars, and have had folks give me dirty looks when I parked in a handicapped reserved parking space and then walked into the building. Once or twice I have had comments loudly made about them thinking that I am not handicapped, to which I responded with the universally recognized one finger greeting. Not every handicap is immediately apparent.

Vito, been there done that. Had one self righteous idiot go so far as to call the cops. I waited right there until they showed. Showed the paperwork and said we could either call my doctor or medic alert.
I sort of wanted her charged with making a false report.

By the way, the new Medic Alert cards and tags have QR codes making it easy emergency folks to get detailed info instantly. If you have an older ID, look into them.

Wouldn't be a false report in Texas if parking in a designated spot without a placard. But to call the law for seeing it is stupid too. I don't challenge people on the parking thing even though I sometimes wonder why they have the tag.

My friend had a massive heart attack. He lost 70% of the left side of his heart. He looked fine but had no stamina.

People would often attack him for parking in the HP spots. The last thing my friend needed was to get into a fight every time he went to the store.

My grandfather was blind. My grandmother had a handicap plate for him on their car. If she was alone people would yell at her for not parking in a handicap space!

NOT ROAD RAGE: I was attacked, from behind by a person I thought was drunk/on drugs. He was acting crazy and bigger than me. He hit me is the face as I walked away from him, knocking me to the ground. Fell hard on my hip replacement in the middle of a side street. When I was able to get up, he was standing right there wanting more. Pulled my gun. He ran but turns out he had connections to the local PD.

Don't remember what comedian said it, but... "Don't you hate it when people pull into a handicap spot and get out, and there's nothing wrong with them? I saw a guy get out of his car from a handicap spot the other day, and there was nothing wrong with him...so I ran him over. I made an honest man out of him. His mother was POed though. She tried to hit me with her crutches."
