Just a bunch of old stuff I had laying around.
Go on and post your stuff, the more the better.
Do we get extra points if the pic contains a revolver and rifle are of the same caliber (or cartridge)? How many points to include a cool knife in the shot? (I picked a bad time to be between cameras!)

Why yes they must be the same caliber. Not sure we need a knife at a gunfight. Well bring it just in case we run out of ammo.

Those showing these great rifle/handgun combos; They would make a GREAT display at any gunshow that Ruger Owners and Collectors get invited to. Show off your Rugers, do it once and see the fun we have and you'll be hooked. There are shows all over the US that we get invited to so there is probably one closer to you that you think.

My husband's favorite handgun and rifle combo:
Marlin 1895, .45-70.
S&W 25-5, .45 Colt.
He says it is interesting that modern guns and both with calibers from 1873.

A very nice combination.
I have and shoot the 45-70 Marlin, Sharps, and 1873 Springfield Trap Door.
If you want a very fun load that YOU can shoot all day in the Marlin try this load.
300 Gr. bullet, large pistol primer, and 10 Gr of Unique. I use that load in some SASS matches and it came out of the book "40 years with the 45-70". It is a VERY accurate load out to 100-150 yards. Just a fun plinker. A factory 405 Gr. 45-70 in the Marlin hurts the shoulder real bad.

The .45-70 with the Remington 405 grain safe for any rifle I have no problems with. That is what Kenneth uses for all hunting. He has used it on deer, hog, elk. He likes the low velocity and you can mostly eat right up to the bullet hole. Now his .450 Marlin lever belts a might, but it is a guide gun so short and light and shooting a potent caliber.
Thanks Ride1949. I picked that up in a trade several years ago. The original finish had been scratched up from being used. I striped it and refinished it with several coats of boiled linseed oil. It’s not to often you find a diamond in the rough like that. Especially on a factory stock. It was just my lucky day.
