From other accounts, this dog rescued 7 people after the 8.7 magnitude earthquake in Ecuador and then died from exhaustion("massive coronary myocardial infarction and acute respiratory failure") and dehydration.

My wife's family lives in Ecuador. That dog is indeed a hero.

I'm surprised at the destruction even 160 miles away from the epicenter. That bridge that fell in Guayaquil should not have fallen. I've been over, and under, that bridge dozens of times.
