I machined mine off to flat on a Bridgeport and installed the Colt escutcheons and a set of cheapo Pachmayer grips. I really like them as they fit my hand perfectly. Once you machine the grip handle flat and install the escutcheons you can use any full size 1911 grips. This guy has some nice instructions. Be VERY careful!!!

Broken Gun Ranch used to offer this service but sadly, they are no longer in business. As chopprs posted, you can do it yourself, or there's a guy on RimfireCentral offering the service. Which can be found somewhere in this forum.
Good looking pistol you have there Mr.Choppers. I have the same one that I have been shooting steel matches with and I really like it a lot.
Go up on Rimfire Central and PM Kingshouse 41225 as he is set up to route out your frame and do the whole job if you want him to. His cost seem reasonable. Good luck. :)
