Anyone got any good ideas. I got two of the scope mount screws out but need one more out. I broke two good bits and can not get the third one to move. I think I will try to heat it and see if I can get it out when I get some new bits. How much heat will I need without hurting the blue finish.

Get a micro torch(Lowes, Home Depot, Harbor Freight), they're cheap, handy and small. Heat only the screw, wait until you smell the Lochtite and then try to remove the screw. If you have someone put pressure on the screw while you're heating it that can help but you'll lose some heat into the tool. If the Lochtite is blue it won't take much heat, if it's Red you'll have to give it some time before the Lochtite will release.

What he said +1 ^^^ !
Also note, you can buy a heat gun from Harbor Freight for cheap and they work good.
I heat the screw and the area near it until a drop of water sizzles before trying to remove. The bluing should NOT be effected at all unless you slip with the screwdriver and gouge it up. Good luck!

A little 'trick' when using a screwdriver on a very tight screw is to dip your screwdriver tip in some Bon Ami, Comet, or a like product. It WILL help grab better without slipping.

Powdered rosin also works well, if you have any handy.

A soldering iron will frequently work to heat screws enough to melt loctite.
