Remington 722 in .222.. price

Remington model 722 in .222. 26 inch barrel. Serial number 2452xx. Bushnell 3-9 scope with post/hair reticle. Clear glass. Gun is all original, but has hunting dings in the stock.... nothing deep. Bluing is extremely nice, other than wear on the bottom metal from carrying. Bore is excellent. Carried more than shot. Rings on the scope are Leupold QR rings with integral peep site. Missing rear sight but has blank.

Wow, that is one early gun. That cut out on the top of the rear receiver ring, just ahead of the scope base was for stripper clips. Your gun was part of the receivers Remington made for the military during it's effort to win the contract with the 222 Magnum back in the early 60's.
