Real Life Imitates Joke...

We all have heard the old joke, why do men die before their wife? Because they want to!!!

I got to thinking about it, and I can think of 8 of my friends who have died the last few years, that died before their wife.

I'm not saying it's 100% but apparently is either very common, or a preponderance of the evidence. What say you?

Generally men marry younger women and generally women (genetics) live longer. But not the case with my parents. Mom went first.

My wife is almost seventeen years younger than me. I probably will make her a widow. Ex wife was twelve years younger. I got a late start.

I use to say,

I would have to die first before my Wife would be committed to a NH.

My wife is younger, and she eats more healthily than I do. However people in my family live to be much older than her family. So we shall see.

(P.s...I do eat healthy, she just takes it up a notch.)

My ex-wife passed away a few years ago.
I guess she just couldn't live without me.

Could also be that men often worked in factories, coal mines and other places that weren’t necessarily good for their health in order to provide for their families.
