PTR91, G3, Cetme C308

I've noticed some of the guys running these at 3-gun shoots.

Since my AR10 build went so great (sarcasm) and is gone now, I'm researching good .308 platforms.

What are your experiences with the guns mentioned above? I've read overall positive reviews about them but am very interested in hearing what my RF family has to say. Thank you!

Great subject for the "Other guns Collecting" section, but:
I've had a couple CETME rifles and converted one to the collapsing stock configuration with a special barrel. Both guns were reliable and solid machines. I'd not hesitate another given the required inspections. I worked out minute-of-soda can first-shots, at 100 yards with ease. Never did hunt with either, but would make an excellent deer rifle where the mags wouldn't be outlawed.

The PTR-series are great rifles, I've never heard (first hand) any complaints and its darned tough to find one for sale aside from internet opportunists.
I'm still wanting a PTR91 pistol, although I have no idea why. Good conversation-starter at the next Moohammed-Cartoon festival, I guess...

Outstanding post! Yes sir, I'll continue to research these and update with the results. I've found several online retailers I've used in the past for other guns carry these. I'm very interested.

I'm also using this opportunity to revisit the discussion of different 7.62x39 platforms. I still have several thousand rounds ready to have some fun.

The general consensus is that the Cetme is garbage. I think I'll pass on this idea.
