For hunting or ground carry, it's either my Winchester or my Marlin leverguns in .22 rifles.
But, for plinking, the 10/22's kinda growing on me. I still dislike its most distinctive feature- that rotary mag that I find a nuisance, but I have a target version with a good scope that'll be getting more use. And it has the poly triggerguard.
My two older 10/22s & my wife's little Compact model have the alloy parts.
Newest one doesn't bother me.
