Lots of people will be reconsidering micro pistols vs " sorta compact " .
Small frame snub revolvers indeed have more accuracy potential than micro semiautos .
That said , what about mouseguns ( .25 , .22lr ) if that's what you happen to have in wrong place at wrong time . Giving different interpretation than Paul . go for COM instead of head .
He's correct about one on one defensive , but there's different factors in actual Mass Shooters. ( At least typical American nutjobs , an actual trained Terrorist hit squad a la Mumbai is different .)
When faced with armed resistance , Mass Shooters will switch gears . Either move to escape , surrender , self destruct , or whatever , but be destracted from plinking unarmed victims . Even temporarily distracting such a mass shooter is a good thing in itself . Give time for potential victims to either beat feet , or gain better cover , give time for more. Responders , hopefully with better guns . to arrive on seen .
A .25acp fmj through the love handle won't stop a charging 1 on 1 attacker , but it would distract from mass shooting .
A lesser skilled shooter than Paul would gain more porportional benefit from some form of support .
Seeded Backup is more common with conventional armed robberies gone sideways , than lone seeming nutjobs .
But absent direct signs , at some point have to suspend disbelief , and address the obvious real time threat in front of you actively killing innocents vs possible assistant bad guy behind you , at least temporarily .

Absolutely correct. The vast majority of people have never been shot at, and that included mass shooters. We know that the mass shooter’s potential victims run, hid, etc. That is because they do not want to get shot. In other words, self preservation takes over. While some mass shooters migh be so deranged that they have lost all sense of self preservation it is likely that most of the others do not want to get shot. Mass shooters are known for picking safer palsies to do act because it is safer for them.
Now at can tell you from personal experience that nothing concentrates the mind on self-preservation than having bullets wiz past you especially when you can see the person shooting at you. It is to say the least distracting, and requires a lot of training to make a controlled reaction. My SOP if I were to engage a mass shooter would be to start firing at him assuming I had clear shots to avoid hitting a bystander. I can tell you that you can see the perp’s reaction when he realizes he is under fire. That is the few seconds when you can go for the incapacitating hits.
Oooo, a lot of those who think caliber doesn't matter might take exception with his comments that the 22 LR and 25 ACP should be head shots only LOL Interesting video (y), though it could have been 10 minutes shorter.

It isn't just the calibre of the weapon but the skill of the user of that weapon. I know my capibilities and a 40 yard shot with my LCP II would be foolish for me.
