Hi All,
New poster here. I recently inherited a P93DC in extremely good condition. It has exactly 79 rounds through it (I know this because Dad saved all the brass and original boxes). It has lived in the factory plastic case its entire 17+ year life in a sock drawer. As you would expect there is no wear on it that I can find at all. The only flaw is because it was bought during the AWB it only has 2 10rd magazines. If I end up liking it I'll buy some 15rd ones and a holster.
I think I was the last person to fire it in the mid 90's before I went in the Army.
Finally getting to my question...
I'm here holding it next to my M&P 40 which I'm not going to try to compare it to since they are pretty different designs. However, I do like the factory grips on the M&P much better. In searching here everyone seems to have the hogue rubber wraparound grips on the P9x pistols. Is that a must have accessory?
Also, do they narrow the grip at all? One thing I can do on the M&P that I cannot on the P93 is release the slide with my shooting hand without shifting my grip. My thumb does not quite reach on the Ruger. I'm not expecting this since the M&P slide release is much farther back than the Ruger.
Thanks!
