Hello Everyone,

Would like some opinions on whether to buy for my collection - the S47B in the classifieds listed at $1000 or a Sleeved and Boxed 357 Maximum 7 1/2" locally for $750.......and no, I can't buy both at this time :(

Thanks for the help!

At $750.00 if it's NIB and ya don't buy it, get me a phone number!! Coogs.
PS and if not at least get me the serial#

Thanks Guys,
I waited just to long responding to the Brassie......you snooze you lose, as I told Axehandle.

The Max is NIB.....Just has some bruises on one of the grips.

Thanks again for the help everyone!

The SRM will never, ever be again produced by Ruger. Ever.
The brass frame is only a CNC program and a chunk of brass away from a re-issue.

jus sayin'.

Both the "long" SRM main frame and the brass MR3DB brass grip frame are "cast" parts, albeit different materials and different procedures, and both require machining to complete, so there's really no physical reason to not produce either one other than company policy/desire.

I agree that its unlikely we'll see the return of the SRM, but with Ruger, never say never.

You could say the same thing about the brass grip frames, but all it would take would be adequate customer demand and willingness to pay the price.

JMHO

:)
