Online orders???

What would you do?

What would you do if you order something online and the next day the price is cheaper? Say the product goes on sale or they have a promotion, “buy one get one” for example.

This just happened to me. I ordered some clothes for Christmas presents for my wife and daughter Saturday night. It was $160 total.

Then on Sunday I get an email saying free hat for orders of $150 or more.

I emailed the company politely asking for a free hat. But they said sorry, no, and “we hope you understand.”

That was last night. So I emailed them again this morning and told them if I can’t get the free hat to cancel my order.

I haven’t heard back yet.

It’s probably a stupid hat anyway. But it’s also the point of the matter. I felt I spent enough, and just the way they wrote: “we hope you understand.” It just got to me.

Thoughts?

Some companies will honor the lower price if the item was not yet shipped except BUDS. I ordered a small revolver from BUDS for a higher than normal price. 2-3 days later they advertised it for $120 less than what i paid. BUDS has a price guarantee listed in their docs for two weeks after the purchase they will match the price. I called BUDS and they said they will NOT match the price. I will never buy from BUDS again.
