Odd headstamp on. 38

I found this headstamp in some old range brass I was polishing today. Anyone familiar with the manufacturer?

If clicking on the pic doesn't make it bigger it says Harrington. 38 spl.

Harrington Richardson made some 38 S&W guns. A shorter round than the 38 Special we are familiar with today. That's what comes to my mind right now.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen or heard of Harrington ammo. I guess somebody must have been cleaning out their ammo stash. I have a H&R .22 but never saw any larger calibers.

32 H&R mag is common, I suppose they made ammo for 38 Spl?

That’s right. I forgot about the H&R mag. CRS strikes again.

I think I have one of those. If so, the headstamp has nothing to do with H&R. Back in the days of revolver target matches, several companies were making/selling private label ammo and/or cases to high volume 38 SP users.

Doesn't look particularly old to me.

You can get brass stamped whatever you want if you order enough of it.
