I’m not the biggest football fan and never watch two games on Sunday but two overtimes to cap off the playoffs was exciting. It was kind of nice not having the hometown team in the hunt actually. I could enjoy the games just for the football.

Watch it! Some folks here don’t want you watchin’ football. You are liable to be disparaged for it..... However, it is your right and I agree. A couple of great contests....

Well, I had to watch since I'm still a Chiefs fan, despite the NFL's best efforts to drive me away. Can't say I care much about the rest of the league.

The Saints sure got jobbed by the refs, didn't they?

Second half of the AFC Championship game was fun. The overtime period . . . not so much. Freakin' Cheatriots. And freakin' Bob Sutton and his porous defensive scheme. Still, we came within one offsides call of the Super Bowl, and with Pat Mahomes II (holy cow!) KC finally has drafted and developed the elite franchise QB we've lacked ever since Lenny Dawson retired. I think the next few seasons are going to be fun, especially once the Chiefs sort the defense out and Mahomes gets just a little bit more seasoning.

Both of them were great games as I watched while drinking beer in my Yeti cup, shame on me.

Really wanted to see a Saints/Chiefs Super Bowl and IMO the Saints really should be playing in it. That blown PI call was ridiculous. Not really a fan of either team playing on Feb 3, but in the name of keeping things interesting, go Rams!

IMO, the officiating at BOTH playoff games this weekend was abdominal.

.

Yeah, the phantom roughing-the-passer call on KC lineman Chris Jones for swiping at the ball and missing Brady's facemask on their last TD drive was pretty atrocious, too. However, crappy officiating isn't what lost the game for the Chiefs (as much as I'd like to blame the refs). Bob Sutton's defensive scheme is to blame for that. Did he just forget to put somebody on Julian Edelman all night? How about jamming the Pats' receivers at the line to disrupt the routes, like they did to KC in the first half? What happened to the Chiefs' pass rush? And the KC defense was on the field so long (some of those guys, like Eric Berry and Dan Sorenson, were out there for 97 snaps, according to Arrowhead Pride this morning) that by the fourth quarter the whole unit was just gassed. Hopefully we'll find some new defensive talent in the draft and free agency, and a new defensive coordinator to make use of it. (Offensively, on the other hand, KC is pretty much set . . . )

That said: The officiating has been so horrible all year that there isn't a single team that hasn't been jobbed at one point or another, and a couple of the games looked downright fixed. That's something the league needs to sort out in the offseason.

Yup. Happens every time just like clockwork. Doesn't matter what it is. People just don't want anyone to enjoy something that they don't. It doesn't matter if it's the NFL or going to see The Rolling Stones. The haters gonna hate. It's so predictable...

Personally I don't really care about the NFL & I got down right mad at them this past year. With that said I'm glad you enjoyed watching the game. Lots of people enjoy watching football. I can think of a lot worse things to do.

With that said when I die I want two Braves, two Falcons & two Georgia Bulldogs to be my pallbearers. That way they can let me down one last time. :)

The Saints owner is grandstanding about “fairness and equity” when a bad call goes against her team. I seem to have missed her press conference after week 16 against the Steelers where at least one blatant call favored them to help them win the game, secure the #1 seed and host the NFCCG at home. Bad calls happen every game, some teams benefit one week, other teams benefit the next. The Saints still could have won in OT but instead Brees threw and INT and that was all she wrote. The Saints owner m, players and even fans are just being hypocritical.
