I might not be the brightest bulb in the box as to puter.

So if its been covered please show me where, but since I just got a Ruger LCP = I was wondering if there are any tweaks or additions to it that I should know.

I am asking here as this is a Ruger friendly site ,so 'fire away' as it were and thanks.

Got no replys yet - but took her to the range to function/accuracy test and she liked the older box of CCI Lawman 88 grain H.P.'s

They were accurate and fed well for 2 mag fulls, the only stuff that didnt feed well was old Geco fmj stuff = go figure.

Welcome to the forum. Try checking out the ElsiePea forum for everything you could ever want to know about your new pistol, and I mean EVERYTHING! Some of those guys could build one from scratch!

The ElsiePea forum is good advice.
As far as stuff to spend your money on, mags and ammo about cover it. If you haven't tried the finger extension magazine, you should. Ammo will be where you can find it, tho' supply should be catching up with demand.
A bunch of us shoot them at our club including a lot of shooting with reloads. Everything seems to work, and they shoot mighty straight for a little gun.
Oh, yeah, get a POCKET HOLSTER if you are going to carry that way, and don't put anything else in the pocket.

Just purchased my LCP as well, first trip to the range went well with no malfunctions. I do have a few concerns with WWB ammunition. It seemed to hangup a little while loading the first round into the chamber. Not sure if it was me not pulling the slide back far enough before releasing it or the ammo. With the slide locked to rear, insert mag and release the slide everything feed fine. Other then that I like it and it will be in my pocket from now on.

I'm missing something - that "ElsiePea" (LCP) forum mentioned above - please point to it - I'm not locating it by searching.

When you charge the first round, work the gun like you are trying to break it; that is to say, pull the slide ALL the way to the rear and TOTALLY release it, as vigorously as you can. Don't ride the slide as it goes forward. WWB feeds about as smoothly as anything in existence, so you shouldn't be having trouble.
Some HP's give a slight hesitation when racking the slide, but even those don't cause an actual hangup, and the gun runs flawlessly when shooting.

Halfmoonclip your right. It was my error not the weapon. I wasn't letting the slide move forward freely. Tried it a few times today and I got the hang of it.. Human error not mechanical.. Love my LCP

I have added a Crimson Trace laser to mine and I can hit center mass on targets at 25 yards.... :P

Great little carry gun.
