228 never came in nor can it be converted to .357 Sig.

Keep your eyes open for any 229 in .40 you can find cheap and the swap to .357 is just a drop in barrel change. Mags are the same.

Yes, sorry I should clarify I'm interested in both platforms, but looking for the P229 in .357 not .40!

I would entertain a .40 model if the price is friendly to allow for the conversion however
