Are magazines for AR 15's interchangeable between manufacturers?

Yes, all AR magazines are (supposed to be) made to the same military specs. Just like all other AR parts.

An AR-15 type rifle should take any AR-15 mag (although make sure it is an AR-15 mag before you order... as there were other AR's made... such as the AR-10, Colt 9mm, AR-57 and others). That said some mags don't "drop free" from all models. This isn't a huge deal. If you order aluminum AR mags from someplace like Brownells then you should be fine.

Sometimes mag wells are tight and some mags with coatings are tight fitting, but they should be generally interchangable.
