New Tapered Barrel---When Did It Begin?

Does anyone know about what serial number designates the initial production of the new tapered barrel on the new generation Mini-14? Mine is 580-84xxx and has the tapered barrel but I'm pretty sure it is not near the first of the production.

For the 580- guns it was somewhere between 580-47117 and 580-500xx.
For the 581- Mini-30's it happened between 581-06390 and 581-08562.
I suspect that going to the 6.8 in the Mini-30 had a lot to do with changing the barrel contour finally.

I think you are right; that, plus they maybe wanted to clear out an inventory of barrels. Thanks for that info.
