I like his introduction :) I'm one of those older guys --but thought this was a good gun for shooting a lot :!: I mean hundreds of rounds and I mean more than 200 at a time :lol: when I first saw it.

I can, the Single-Six.

The Williams Firesights on the Single-Ten can be swapped with the standard Single-Six adjustable sights. I think the front sight and screw would run about ten bucks, the complete rear sight is less than twenty, from Ruger in Newport.

I like the idea of a six-shooter, but ten would have its advantages. If I didn't already own a Six, a Ten would probably be more interesting.

That was a great review/article. Especially the intro! :)

I noticed two items on my Single-Ten, the cylinder has a lot of right to left play when turning to load and unload and the beveled gunfighter grips are a bit small for my hands.

Other than those two points, its a keeper, accurate, fun, and in Ruger standard, well made.

My only wish is that it had a dual ejector rod, if you can load two rounds at a time, it would be neat if you could eject two as well.

My H&R 999 ejects 9 at once and, with a speedloader, loads 9 at once. :D
However, it doesn't have fiberoptic sights, and I had to replace the ridiculously oversized grips with some thin walnut ones.

I give Ruger kudos for putting as many holes in the cylinder as it would hold. Greater capacity and less weight.

I'd like it more better if they made a 22WMR cylinder that came with it. Also....never really cared much for fiber optic sights myself. If I were in the market right now...i'd likely be lookin' at another single six.

I went to a gun show yesterday and there was a single 10 there with the fiber opic sights. I'm a traditionalist and like a six shooter with the standard sights---BUT I picked it up and fell in love with those sights. The sights are not as big and ugly from the rear view! :lol:

I think given the opportunity I will buy one. But not at $569 that this guy was asking. :shock:
