New Security 9 question

Just got a new Security 9 standard. Haven't fired it yet. I have two questions.
When the slide is locked open, should you be able to rattle the barrel?
When the slide is locked open, the slide stop release is very hard to move down.
Are these normal for the new pistol?

The slide lock will get better with use. If it's too difficult at first you can always slingshot the slide while breaking the pistol in.
