Now that Ruger has redesigned their MK III, what is the old model worth? I was going to sell my Hunter instead of getting the doohickey the makes disassembly of the thingakabob easier. Seems I may not get what its worth in spite of the Valquarten MK III Acurizing Kit installation to boot.

No, you will get what it's worth alright. You just may not get what you want.

Yes, there have been a lot of MkIII's dumped on the market lately so the trade/resale values have dropped significantly.

I have two new MKIV's on order. Take this to the bank though, NONE of my MKII pistols [ 6 ] nor the singular MKIII will ever be replaced by the new design MKIV pistol. Bet the ranch on it.

Perhaps your MkII and MkIII's will not be replaced but a lot of other owners have done just that.

I cannot think of one good reason to get rid of my MK IIIs and get a MKIV. Actually both the Target and the 22/45 are closer to being MK IIs due to some "internal" mods.

I feel you. I put mine for sale and a week later the MKIV was introduced. I guess if I actually sold it, it would have been good for me, but I still have it.
