Welcome aboard Bee from a former Ordie...my youngest Son enlisted with a Seabee contract (Construction Mechanic), graduated Basic this past AUG but was selected to go Navy Ceremonial Guard so he's down in DC now. He will go back to the Bees after the Guard (another 21 months to go). Talked to him last night and he said he saw a elderly man sitting alone at the Chow Hall wearing a Seabee "Can Do" cover. So he sat down and ate with him. Turns out he is a retired Bee, 30 plus years as a BU retired as a Master Chief. Said he listened to stories about Nam and other deployments, especially ones with NMCB 133 "Fighting Kangaroos" which is the orders my Son had before the Navy Ceremonial Guard plucked him out of CM A School in Port Hueneme, Ca.

The best communities in the Navy by far are NSW, Seabees and Ordnance!
