Ahh, I just have to brag. Been wanting one of these carbines for years. Finally brought one home. .41 mag. Will go well with my NMBH in the same caliber. :mrgreen:

I think about 4 years ago. They've expanded the caliber into a couple of other BigBoy models since then.

This one left the factory in Jan '17. They don't sell a lot of .41's since it's not a really popular caliber. Most folks get the .357 or .44 mag. With the Underwood ammo I use it should have around 1800fps mv, give or take.

Looks nice. Looking forward to your shooting report. I have no use for a 41 but I have Marlin lever guns in 357mag and 44mag. Putting any of those handgun cartridges in a carbine, makes a tremendous difference. You've got a real deer slayer there.

I have a couple of 92 clones in a Browning 92 .44 mag and a 92 Puma in .357 mag. The .357 is more of a sweetheart to shoot than the .44 mag.

Good looking rifle. I just wish they would make one in 10mm. IMHO, it would have almost the same power as the 41mag, the ammo would cost a lot less and there would be a lot better bullet selection for those that reload.

I doubt they ever will. Cowboys didn't use them furrin' calibers. :wink: :lol:

One of my regrets when it comes to guns is selling my Marlin 1894 45 Colt Cowboy lever gun. I hadn't shot CAS in several years and just decided I'd probably shoot that one less than the others so I put it on a classifieds. Went so quick, I didn't have a chance to re-cant.
