I had ordered new glasses week, and they arrived at the optometrist's shop yesterday.
So I went to pick them up and have the final adjustments made for the fit of the frames.
The young lady tried them on my face, observed them a moment, took them off for a little adjustment and put them back on for me. When she finally approved of my looks, she asked if I could read the matt on the table before me.
"I can read some, but not all," I told her.
"Which line is the clearest?" she asked.
"They're all pretty clear to me," I told her.
"Which line do you have trouble reading?" she asked me.
"Pretty much all of them," I told her.
"What seems to be the problem?" she asked me.
"I can't read that much Spanish." I told her.
I have a well fitting pair of glasses now.
