Hey all,

New member from TX! Glad to be here, and can't wait to be a proud owner of a 10/22 :)

I want to build one, but I want it to be fully left-handed (including a left-ejecting receiver). I know that Ruger sells a version of this. However, I want it to be fully custom/built. Can I just buy the rifle from Ruger, pull the receiver, and then build the rest of the gun around that? Since there is no way to buy just a left-ejecting receiver? Or are some parts not compatible (besides the magazine.. I already know of that one).

Thanks!

Love the 10/22, one of my favorites. :)

For a left handed 10/22 receiver, you can check places like Brownells or other gunsmithing parts companies to see what they might have, you might be surprised. Otherwise, buy one of the Ruger left handed models and tear it apart to get what you want and then have a ball customizing it any way you want. I believe the 10/22 is only beaten out by the AR-15 in customizing. I love building 10/22's, you can go plain jane or full on crazy on what you want.

Oh, welcome to the forum from central PA. IMO this forum will give you excellent answers to any/all questions you might have about Rugers.
