Description
I have a new S&W Bodyguard 2. You 'all know what it looks like. I'm 81 and I guess have limited strength because I cannot rack the slide. I can move it about 3/4". I sent it to S&W and they sent it back with a note "cannot duplicate problem". I had them send me another spring (assembly) and it works the same way. I took the original spring and cut about 3/4" and I could barely rack the slide, however when I took it to the armory it would not shoot or work at all, so I guess it needs that strong spring to function correctly. The replacement spring is in the gun now. I would like to either sell the gun or trade it for one of equal value. I have purchased it from Gun Broker and I have all the parts that were included in the box. I paid $450 for it 3 months ago. If anyone is interested let me know. I have to use a "Easy-Racker" to rack the slide.
Are you sure its just the spring and not the spring AND guide rod assembly? Folks at the range were having a hard time with the BG2.0s and apparently there were some flaws with the assembly not fitting properly and preventing the slide from being pulled back.

NO i CAN Rack THE SLIDE WITH THE "Handi-racker" and I took it apart and everything looked Ok and functioned OK. It actually works good with the "Handi-Racker", but if I go to the armory , using the Handi- Racker is cumbersome.

Thanks RUT for the suggestion, I ordered one from them and if I get it before the gun show in Georgetown I'll give it a try. If no interest it's going to the gun show.

Thanks again Rut, I received the Talon and installed it. What a difference! I can rack the slide with the original main spring. The best $9 I spent on any of my guns. I was going to sell it at the gun show but now I am going to keep it. Thanks for the suggestion Rut.
