WOW--I had a great morning at the range with my NIB LCP. Previously my only experience with a .380 has been my Walther PPK/S and that thing is just pure torture to shoot beyond 25 rounds.
This LCP is a whole different gun from the PPK/S and I really like what happened today.
I was able to find one extra mag at Bass Pro Sops and it's made by "Pro Mag" in the USA. FYI: The Ruger mag is made in Italy--humm!
So I loaded up both mags with Remington 95gr FMJ to begin and I was not disappointed, all six rounds fired without a hiccup, BINGO!! The second mag was the aftermarket and it produced the same results with the same ammo. I finished off the 50 round box and then opened a box of Hornady Critical Defense and loaded the mags up with them.
Again, same results as before, everything worked perfectly.
While I was firing I was also zeroing in the C.T. laser at seven yards and when I finished the gun was spot on. I found it to be very accurate after I got accustomed to the LOOOONNNNGGGG trigger.
For the last 18 months I've been dedicated to 1911's at the range so it took a bit to get used to the LCP's trigger but it wasn't that bad.
Overall I'd have to say that I hit a home run with this little pocket rocket and it'll probably replace my Kimber Ultra CDP as a summer carry gun.
