I enjoyed reading Dave's post on his favorite rifle purchase 2016, and the build of his Cooper "Heritage" rifle to be passed on in his family. My rifles aren't in that class, but thought I'd share pics of a couple of rifles I had built to pass on to my daughters. Neither of the daughters currently hunt, but they do enjoy range time with me punching holes in paper; and they like the walnut and blue...

First is a tang safety RSI Swede (6.5x55):

And an RSI .260:

I like the 6.5 mm cartridges, and the girls are having fun with them as well :p :p

LOL, I didn't read your post well & missed the part where you said, "rifles I had built". I just about flipped out of my chair when I saw a Flat bolt, .260, RSI. That's just as neat as it gets. Great looking rifles, in great calibers.

Love those! One day I'd like to make a south paw rsi mkii short action complete with red pad.

Really nice looking rifles. I too am a fan of the Mannlicher style stock.

Actually the post states he "had" them built!
