Dad (Robert Lovell) was a radio operator in a halftrack in the 9th Armored in the spring of 1945, escorting the Military Governor's group re-establishing law & order in occupied Germany. They were there at Ludendorf for the fall of the Remagen Bridge. His book covers much of a soldier's daily life, challenges to find enough good food to eat, also Dad was his unit's weapon scrounge who once traded home made candy for a BAR.
Dad is a retired Oklahoma District Court Judge, life NRA member, living in rural Oklahoma.
