If Ruger Forum member Bob Wright had a Harley I feel as though this would be his saddle…

Incidentally, and 'way off subject, the State of Tennessee recently made a legal distinction betwee a motorcycle and a motor scooter:

In short, if the rider throws his a leg across to mount, its a motorcycle. If he steps through, its a scooter.

Bob Wright

Just musing as I corrected my typo: If I "threw my leg across" it, it likely wouldn't come back!

They are covered, not many you can slide through.

I chose to bring a shotgun home by motorcycle down I-75 in Tennessee years ago. It wouldn't fit in saddlebags, so I put the sling across my chest and had the gun on my back, and rode about 80 miles. Never saw the boys in blue, so I wasn't stopped. I officially asked several cops later if there was a proper and legal way to transport by bike, and they took a week to get back. Their answer: "No matter how you do it, if we see you, we will stop you."
Kinda makes you want to drive home a little quicker!

I used to drive my BMW R80RT to cowboy action matches. With my rifle and shotgun in cases bungee corded to my saddle bag. After loading all my ammo and cowboy hat I had no room for my pistols and belt. So I carried then on my hip. Two Ruger Vaquero's and twenty five silver bullets on the belt. I wish I had a picture. I did get a few looks as I drove through the state capitol. Alas that was when Vermont was more of a free state. I went by the alias "Beartooth Jack"...certified brothel inspector.
