Just plinked off 150 rounds out of the SR9. I like this gun a bit more with each pull of the trigger.
I fired about 100 rounds of pure junk ammo. A mixture of steel, aluminum, and copper cases. Much found on the floor of the safe during recent cleaning, desk drawers, and the bottom of my cleaning kit. Even a few rounds of Korean war vintage stuff. (1952) The SR9 ate it up and asked for more. So I popped a box of Monarch 115gn FMJ, $8.95. First round was so light I thought it may have been a squib. (it wasn't) The slide did not go back far enough to to even stove pipe the case. Then a good bang followed by a stovepipe. A few more good rounds and another stovepipe. I don't have much good to say about this crap ammo. I've got one more box of the stuff and will give it a run soon. If it does not get better it will be off my list forever. Sorry to Monarch, but 3 rounds in a box is to me sign of bad quality control. IMHO
