mini 30 with a factory mini 14 mag

Chad documents this in the reference but what I don't know is : Is the mini 14 223 mag the same as the mag in this gun for the 7.62 X 39

The Mini 14 factory mag will fit in the mag well and latch in a Mini 30, but it probably won't feed correctly. Mini 30 factory mags are marked with the caliber on the bottom, and they have only one vertical groove on the side of the magazine. Mini 14 .223 mags have three vertical grooves.

Some of the early Mini 30 mags have a Mini 14 marked floor plate. Not that common to see any more, but they are out there.

Look at the sides of the mag and the follower to know for sure.

Yep this is without a doubt a factory mis-marked one that came with the gun

Yes...the first Mini-30's came out with mags that were marked Mini-14. They work just fine.
