Mini 14 trigger group unlocking

After about 20 rounds the trigger guard unlocks from the rifle causing various failure to fire scenarios. The rifle has been returned once for service and adjustments were made. This thing is just not reliable, unlike my 10-22 which is completely dependable.

Has anyone else experienced this trigger group unlocking problem?

I've seen the trigger group fall out because it was not seated correctly on re-assembly but I've never seen the trigger guard come unlatched. If I were to hazard a guess, make sure that you have a solid grip so your middle finger doesn't hit the guard and unlatch it during recoil.

The number one cause of that is a sprung trigger guard.
