Mini 14 Stock

Are there any Mini 14 stocks that help the gun shoot more accurately? I'm not talking about making the gun go from 6" to 1" and be accurate as hell, just a brand that is known to have a good tight fit to the receiver and make the best out of whatever "accuracy" the gun may have. I realize the gun is typically a plinker at best, I don't like the issue stock and am going to switch out, figure if there's anything that helps I might as well go with that since i'm switching anyway.

The Har Bar Mini 14 accurizer isn't a stock, but it's supposed to give an instant improvement to the accuracy.

i switch between the orig wood stock and a choate folder so i can through it over my shoulder and ride my dirt bike to get way out where the coyotes arnt so smart cant say theres any accuracy differances between the two just make sure it fits tight my gun shoots 11/2 to 2 inch with 62 gr hp all day at a 100 yards

I dont know if there is a stock that will do what you are hoping for. I added an Amega Ranges scout rail and an Accu-strut Socom to my Mini and it shoots ~2.5in-3.5in @ 100yds with a cheap red-dot. I think I may be able to get even better groups because the last time I was out I didnt have the rail or the accu-strut lock-tighted in place and the fasteners were loose after I got done shooting. Now that everything is tight and dialed-in I wouldn't be surprised if it was grouping a little tighter. I have the OEM synthetic stock and I like it pretty well. The only problem with the Rail-AccuStrut combo is that it is expensive, about 75$ for the Accustrut (the AccuStrut SOCOM is for the 16in barrel so it is cheaper, the Regular Accustrut is about 140$) and 150$ for the Scout Rail.

From what I understand your best bet is probably to have your current stock bedded by a gunsmith (or DIY is cheaper).

Since you are switching stocks anyway, call a gunsmith and ask them what they recommend. I am not sure if you can bed all of the aftermarket stocks out there. Specifically I am thinking of the Hogue stock. It is that overmolded rubber and I am not sure if the fiberglass will stick to the molded rubber.

If you like Folding/Telescoping stocks, ATI and Tapco both make a good product. Ruger sells the Mini 14 with the ATI as an OEM item, that sounds like a pretty good endorsement to me. Whatever you get for a stock, check with a gunsmith beforehand about bedding it. From everything I read, bedding gets you some increase in accuracy. Some folks say it is a lot better, some say its a little better, but the consensus is that it is going to give you some improvement.
