Mini 14 scope mount

I am new to forum and need help, bought a mini 14 ranch I think, and I am hoping to mount a scope,

Yours is not a ranch model. Scoping it will be difficult. S & K makes an aftermarket mount for it, but then you will not be able to use the factory peep sights. Good luck.

Agree the pictures above are of a Mini-14, NOT a Ranch version, they have scope ring "notches" front and rear of the ejection port and a smaller fold down rear peep sight...the Mini -14 like pictured above needs a side mount, has a special plate that replaces the side plate on the left of the action...this special plate a threaded hole in it for the scope mount itself.....

I happen to have one of those mounts (courtesy of a mystery karma box many years ago by @blume357 ) and no Mini-14.

If you don't mind the fact that it's silver and not blue, I can pass on blume's generosity...
