I have a SS series 581 Mini 14 that I purchased about 2 yrs ago. I had to shift the scope windage adjustment off center quite a bit because of the ring mount grooves not being cut symmetrically by the factory. They're not off by much, but that small amount makes a big difference in scope adjustment.
Rather than taking the time to package the rifle up and send it in for warranty service (not sure they'd correct that under warranty) I'm inclined to dremel away the material myself to correct it.
If I did, would that void any future warranty service by Ruger?
