Anybody have a LOT of experience with the plastic ones?
I bought six mags and haven't shot them all, but so far no troubles.
CDNN has the 20 rounders for $8.99 so I was thinking of loading
up on them IF the general consensus is they are alright.

(BTW, I bought a couple of aftermarket 10 rounders from somebody.
They are crapola. The lips are too high and won't even insert with the bolt closed.
So Back in the market for a couple of 10 rounders if anyone has any.)

I would not buy any after-market mags for the Mini 14. Stick with the Ruger mags. They cost more, but are worth it. CDNN, as you are familiar with, has them cheaper than anyone else, $24.99 for the 20 rounders, and $29.99 for the 30 rounders.

Thats a pretty good price on the Ruger mags, but for $9, a Pro Mag one might not be a bad mag to leave in the truck or tool box as it won't rust.

The only aftermarket mags I've ever had consistent luck with, other than factory mags, are the now-discontinued PMI (Precision Machine).

I have a bunch of Thermolds, which were ok, but several of them broke when dropped in training.

I bought a 20rd TripleK mag at Cabelas, its the straight wall kind that look like they go to an M14. It works perfectly and when compared side by side with the Ruger Branded 20rd mag it looks to be of higher quality. I was surprised because of the excellent reputation that Ruger brand mags carry. I will say that I have not had any problems with the Ruger brand mags I have used.

I have since bought two more of the TripleK mags from CDNN sports. I havent had a chance to try them out yet but they look just as good as the first one.

I also bought a promag polymer 20rd from CDNN. The only Issue I have with it is that it doesnt hold the bolt back properly. I have not had a chance to try it out for function check yet. I have other aftermarket mags that do not hold the bolt back and function fine otherwise so I will keep my fingers crossed.
