Mini 14 186 series parts

I have been looking at buying a new mini 30 and while doing some reading on the net I have seen people talking about not being able to get major parts for the 180 series mini 14. I have a 186 series mini 14 and I want to know is the 186 series the same as the 180?

I don't believe Ruger offers them, but I'm also not sure what parts you would need beyond springs. Wolff makes all the necessary springs for the Mini.

No, your 186 is not the same as a 180.

Begining with prefix 181, Ruger changed them considerably & kept that basic design untill prefix 580 for the standard Mini. Of course there would be part differences for ranch rifles, or other variations.
