Messing around with grips

I am always looking for new grips for some of my Flattops. I found these simulated ivories on the Ruger website and thought the "gold" monograms complimented the gold inlay on the revolver very nicely :).

That is spectacular, my first thoughts were just enough, not overdone. Then when I look close, it is almost full coverage. So for a gun to have that much engraving, and not look overdone, to me says volumes about the quality of the work. Just spectacular.

Bill, Are those grips available on a regular basis through Ruger? Did you know that one of the factory engravers who worked for Paul, was our guest speaker at the recent OGCA/ROCS display show banquet? He was interesting and told
us much about the engraving jobs he did for Ruger and that he now works for Baron Technologies on most of their Ruger projects. Really nice looking gun and grips with very tasteful engraving coverage. Someone earlier stated "very tastefully done. Brass Frame/Lee E

Lee...these grips are available on Ruger's website, but it states their availability is limited to the stock on hand. I purchased them about two weeks ago. It would have been interesting to hear the presentation on engraving as engraved guns are a major interest of mine. I was fortunate to have this 44 engraved by Paul Lantuch in 2006 before the Ruger Studio was closed.
