I am listing my 1894 Sporter in 44 mag for sale.
this is somewhat of a rare bird. according to Brophy, this was a one year run (1973), where they made less than 1400. dovetailed front sight instead of ramp. forend cap instead of barrel band. 22" bbl vs a 20" and half mag vs full mag.
the stock has been carved on, but it is a good job as far as carvings go. if you dont like it, butt stocks are easy to come by. this would make a GREAT BARREL CHOP CANDIDATE!! you wouldnt even have to mess with the mag tube. cut the barrel to 16.25", and reattach the front sight and you are good to go!
