Twice a year, at Knob Creek Range in West Point, KY (just outside of Louisville), they have a machine gun shoot. The night shoot on Sat night is the highlight, with cars, trucks, etc. they put pyro in and they blow everything up. They rent guns on Sat and Sun, they have a sub gun match, they have Huey helicopter rides. If you never been, it's worth going.
It's a MUST DO at least once!
And it's great to take a total gun newbie to. Quite educational. Where else ya gonna see folks wandering around with Browning 1919s over their shoulder? And get to hear (and smell) REAL full-auto gunfire? Totally ruin future gun movies for 'em.
A Mini-Gun w/tracers is quite impressive.

It ain't cheap. Figure several hundred minimum for the weekend with food and lodging. More if you want to shoot a lot.
Camping is possible. If you do that and take your own grub, it'll help.
And don't forget your hearing protection. :lol:

They have cancelled the camping this year due to all the rain. They are going to have to use the camping area for parking.Ale-8(1) said:

While I haven't been in a few years, I thought the gate fee & food prices more than reasonable.
