M77 scope rings

I have a Ruger M77 and I want to mount a Nikon 3x9 40mm on it. I need to purchase scope rings for the rifle. What size or sizes should I buy and where can I buy them?

Medium set should be fine. For a 77 that is one low and one medium. Ruger has them or check ebay.

Is it a M77 round top? If so, they do not take Ruger rings.


If it takes Ruger rings.....

1 low and 1 medium, is a low set. (3&4)

Medium is..... 1 medium and 1 high. (4&5)
