low rings

Gentlemen , trying to save myself some time and money..... if i purchase a set of low rings for my m77 tang safety.... will they be high enough for a 40mm objective scope ? anyone know for sure ?

Assuming a M77 with original tang safety (M77R), you will need different heigth rings. If I remember correctly, my 1970 vintage worked fine with 3B front and 4B rear for a 40mm objective.
