But in a GOOD way. Bought a new 22/45 for my birthday in june and got to take it out on July 5 and ran 150 rnd without a single problem.

So I take the wife out on July 31 with my new toy along with a couple of rifles and she just fell in love with it and REALLY didn't want to turn it loose. So I promised her to get a second one to get mine back. :D

So the question is since this one is the 5.5 in bull barrel I am torn ...... do I get another one just like it or the slab side ????

Was yours the RP (replacable panels)? If not they sure look good.

Nope , but that is also in the running if I can come up with the extra funds.
If you can manage that, it would be a good choice. As much as I love my 5.5" bull barrel model, I would have loved the RP model as it would probably be a better fit for my hands.

With a little shopping on the big auction site, you can pick up a new one with the removable grips for under 300. I had sworn off the plastic frame guns and sold all of mine off and replaced them with the steel frames. THEN, Ruger (curse their souls) came out with wood grips on them, and now I have two of those...................... The wood grips make them feel better, and look MUCH better. Of course "She Who Must Be Obeyed" may likely take the pretty new one away from you too.....................

The removable panel stainless slabside is dead sexy.

You must be referring to a MKIII, there isn't any slabside stainless in the 22/45 line with removable panels. Only stainless removable model is the hunter and it has the fluted barrel. They should though, I'll bet the 22/45RP line expands some very soon, they can't keep the bull and threaded models on the shelves they're so popular.
But either way your talking a whole lot more money.
Got my 10140 at my LGS for 299 + tax.

Here's a 22/45 stainless slab side with removable panels :)

I think your talking about the 10145 which would give me the slab side, the checkered grips and the 5.5" barrel. The only bad part is the MSRP price is $493.00 which is a good bit more that the 10107 that I bought.

I think I have decided to just take her down and let her pick out "her" pistol. That way if the budget gets blown then I won't hear about it.

I'm guessing retail price would be around $390-$400. :)

Yup that is the one. My buddy has one and I replaced the magazine disconnect garbage for him. I know they exist.

Though not replaceable panel, there is a MkII style 22/45 stainless slabside model also.
