I would like to play with some different shot loads in .38/.357 but the only place that seems to have them is Midsouth, and shipping makes them really expensive. I have some hard to find #12 lead shot I would be willing to share or trade.

Actually that's quite deceiving. The thickness of the capsule isn't a factor when you don't use them and the cap that goes on the capsule occupies even more room. That amount of capsule that sticks above the case mouth is holding the shot that would normally be within the brass case, had it not been for the capsule walls and the cap.
