As always, I am last to the party  I bought a rifle a few months ago. It came with one10-rd magazine. I would like a few 20 round or bigger mags. I really want manufacturer brand name mags like Colt or Bushmaster or DTI; or P-Mag aftermarket ones as they are supposed to be good too. I'm not too familiar with these, but if you have one or two or so good quality mags, I would be interested since it seems that all stores have sold out in one weekend. Thanks.

I got a passle of C-Product 30rd mags. Also got a passle of Colt 30rd mags but they were high last week, just not as high as this week. PM me if interested. krw

Check Brownell's website. They sell mags that are manufactured for them. I have four 30 rd'ers and they work great. They also make 20 rd'ers. I'd not hesitate to use them.

And I bet they have a passle of them to sell.

I'm afraid you may be out of luck on magazines for awhile with the panic buying. I'd go to gunbroker and find a BUY NOW that I could live with. There are some prices already that will make you cry!!!!

Yesterday I went by one shop....had 100 30 round P-MAGS coming in and 40 of them sold...I got on the list for some...they called me on the cell phone and I picked them up. Today is a limit of 2 per customer...I didn't think they would have any left by now.

The second shop had one lonely 20 round P-MAG in stock. I didn't want the orphan brand mags they had in stock.

The third shop had 20 and 30 round P-MAGS in abundance and I bought some 30s. Today they are out completely!

None of the shops has an AR15 clone on the sales rack. Guns, ammo and magazines are flying out the door. Shop #1 is also out of bulk pack 22 LR...you might want to get some of that before it disappears also.

Most online retailers are totally out. I have seen some on gunbroker and ebay going as high as 75$ each!

Good luck

Guess I better stick with my 10 rounder for now. My pockets ain't that deep, especially at Christmas. I knew our local gunshop was out, but wow... all over the country. Thanks, guys.

I just bought 20 this morning, they have them coming in all the time. Didn't ask about pmag's.

This is panic buying at it's worst. If it ain't nailed down it's getting bought. You can't even get five or ten rounders for an AR-15 right now. Forget about regular pricing it's gouging time too!!!

i got a 10 pack magpul 30's from brownells for 129.95; free shipping last mon or tues.......there asking $60 each on the gun forums here in Houston . dang gouging back biting son of Sorry profiteers
Mine are for personal use & not for sale

Good of you sir, way to help him out. Of course all the "magazine vultures" have just descended on your inbox. Cause they just gotta have 3 more!

kentuckyyeti,

I have one of the 20-round mags with grey followers made by Conneticut Products. I'll send you a PM.

Ted

PM me your address and I'll send you one of my older Colt 20 rounders.
(It could have been one I used in the M-16 I carried in the 70's. Same vintage for sure.)
Try it out. If it works, send me what you think it is worth.

Brownell's is showing 20 rounders in stock. I'd have bought some but their shipping came up at $13.95! http://www.brownells.com/magazines/rifle-magazines/magazines/ar-15-m16-20-30-round-magazines-prod21225.aspx?avs|Action%20Type_1=Semi-Auto
What happened? Their shipping charges were reasonable.

Thank you to everyone. I have now located a few mags thanks to some nice helpful people on here. I really do appreciate all y'alls help. I guess next time I'll learn to not wait until the last minute. Thanks again!

If you don't like their shipping cost now, just wait until Jan 1 2013 you're really going to suffer from sticker shock so to speak. UPS and Fed Ex and others have had to increase their prices due to government regs beyond their control.

BTW guys & gals there is no such thing as gouging if a state of emergency has not been declared, and even then that will not include such things as mags or even ammo fortunately. This is nothing more than the supply and demand free market capitalist system at it's finest. We are not talking about utilities meds or food staples that one may need to survive. Call me Gordon Gekko if you so choose, but personally in business I think greed is good. BTW to the OP Kentuckyyeti please contact me with your personal info and I will send you a well used but fully functional standard capacity 30 round AR platform magazine at a very good pre Clinton/ Obama hysteria price(aka free). Merry Christmas take care and welcome to the AR-15/Carbine sporter world.
Gary
P.S. Perhaps I am just weird but I want every sole proprietor craftsman small business laborer and entrepreneur to be able to charge as much as they can for their ideas products and or services. I thought this was the American way.

What kind of government regs???? :?

What kind of government regs???? :?

Well for starters "Obama care", there are so many hidden taxes in that bill that anyone that owns a small business or one who just cares what the fed is doing to it subjects will need a tax law based legal firm to even start to understand it. Then there is going to be several additional taxes on common carriers and private transit companies for the so called "damage" they cause while conducting their business. Become informed and become involved, other wise the next thing you know, we become Greece.

Yes it has been stated that all shipping prices are increasing- From what I have seen it gave a 4-7% consumer increase. I am not sure if it is tied into Obama Care or not but everything else is also going up also.

It looks like he'll only ship within SC now.

Probably going to get worse too. Was it this bad during the Clinton ban? Anyway, thank you to all the guys that pm'ed and replied. I now have a few magazines on the way. I didn't need a lot, but wanted something bigger than the 10 round one for plinking. Speaking of which- .223 ammunition is as scarce as the mags around here. Luckily I had bought some of the Federal 100 round value packs a few months back so I can still kill tin cans.
