I have a 50th Anniversary 357 Blackhawk. I want to use this for night time coyote hunting. Does anyone make a mount to put a tactical light on it. I have a Streamlight TLR-1 I would like to use.

Thanks!!

The Weaver #301 base will fit most Blackhawks and Super Blackhawks but I am not sure about the 50th. Is your gun a Flattop?

Maybe something like this drilled and tapped to the top strap.

If you try & mount a light where the rear sight would be,,, you loose the ability to sight the handgun.

While I don't exactly recommend it,,, maybe a duel mount designed to hold a round flashlight that clamps to a barrel might work. Check B-Square for such stuff. But I've not seen a mount that has a round bbl part & a Pictanny rail or weaver type as the second type of mount.

It ain't elegant, but it'd be easy enough, and only modifies a relatively cheap part, to D&T the grip butt to add a rail, and mount the light beneath the grip. Would be the same light position as the "wrist over wrist" hollywood tactical flashlight technique.

Oh yeah I forgot about that.

This rail will mount to the barrel I think.

Might not be something easily accomplished. Anything that clamps to the barrel is going to inhibit the ejector on a 4 5/8" gun. There's a S&W with an underbarrel rail but......it's a S&W. For nighttime duty, I usually forego style for function.

I'm with Dave, get the coonhunters cap ( hat) or a viser with the light ,ala coal miners,,,,,OR so as to NOT booger, devalue the gun by drilling and tapping, we've used duct tape, since it came out ...works and cleans up nicely when you're done.............
lastly, use the weak hand ( off hand) and cross UNDER your shooting forearm, and hold the light forward, and the arm also supports your shooting arm at the same time ( LE training circa 1970) much more popular and common now with thumb switches... 8)
