Heard from two local shops that Ruger shut down the LCP line to concentrate on the LC9's, and they can't find any.

The shop where I just bought my LCP also was carrying the LC9, but the guy told me they are coming in here and there and all are spoken for via a waiting list.
He brought one that was already sold out to me and let me try it out, but he said the waiting list was getting pretty deep for them.
When I asked about the LCPs he told me that they were still really really popular - between it and the LC9, they are 2 of the most popular pistols in the shop right now.

Not very likely. The LCP is one of the most popular handguns in America.

Son picked up a LC9 2 weeks ago at a gun show for only $350. It was a great deal and it hasn't left his side ever since.

If the LC9 would have been available when the LCP came out I'd probably gone for the LC9 just for the extra horsepower. Now that I have the little mouse gun it sure is an easy carry.
